Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday, Aug. 24

Aug. 16, 2002

BERKELEY - Cal fans are invited to join players and coaches for the annual Fan Appreciation Day Saturday, Aug. 24 on the parking lot surrounding Kleeberger Field. Festivities get underway at 10 a.m. and last until 12 noon.

Head coach Jeff Tedford and the members of the 2002 Golden Bear football team will be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs.

Other features include the Cal Straw Hat Band providing live music, a performance and cheer clinic by the Cal Dance Team, and Oski the Cal mascot. There will be games galore, and don't forget to bring your appetite because local vendor Compadres will be on hand selling food.

Admission and parking are free.

Due to the installation of a new artificial turf on Kleeberger Field, Fan Appreciation Day will be held just outside the facility in the parking lot north of Memorial Stadium.
