Men's Cross Country Ranked No. 2 In PreSeason Mondo Poll

Stanford, CA - The Stanford men's cross country team has been ranked second in the 2002 Mondo Men's NCAA Division I Preseason Cross Country Poll released Tuesday. The United States Cross Country Coaches Association conducts the poll. Stanford, the runner-up to Colorado at the 2001 NCAA Championships, finished second to the Buffaloes in the first poll of the 2002 season. Colorado received 14 of the 15 first place votes with the Cardinal capturing the other.
Stanford opens its 2002 cross country season when both the men's and women's teams compete at the Cal State Fullerton Season Opener this Saturday, August 31 (8:30 am, PT).
