Ervin Brings Home Two Medals From Japan

YOKOHAMA, Japan - Senior Anthony Ervin earned two silver medals at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. The competition took place Aug. 24-29 in Yokohama, Japan.
Ervin finished second in both the 50-meter freestyle and 400-meter freestyle relay. He finished the 50m free in 22.28 seconds, just behind Jason Lezak's first-place 22.22 time. In the 400m free relay, the American team of Ervin, Scott Tucker, Nate Dusing and Lezak, finished at 3:15.41 to Australia's 3:15.15.
Ervin returns to Berkeley ready for his final year at Cal. The men's swimming team kicks off its fall season Oct. 4th, hosting Pacific. The meet starts at 12 p.m. at Spieker Aquatics Complex.
