Beavers Take Two-Game Win Streak To California

A LOOK AT LONG BEACH STATE: LBSU (0-4-0) has been outscored 10-2 in its first four games. Most recently, the 49ers fell 3-1 to Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Sept. 8, and dropped a 1-0 contest to Purdue on Sept. 6. LBSU has been outshot 57-37, and has surrendered 2.5 goals per game. In goal, Megan Hartwyk has made 17 saves in three games.

A LOOK AT CAL-SANTA BARBARA : After four games, the Gauchos (2-1-1) already have two players with double figure point totals. Jennifer Borcich leads the way with 11 points on four goals and three assists, and Krystal Sandza is second with four goals and two assists for a total of 10 points. UCSB tied San Francisco (2-2) and lost to San Diego (2-4) to open the season, but have since claimed wins over TCU (3-1) and Liberty University (4-0). The Gauchos own an 81-41 advantage in shots thus far. In goal, Jamie Considine (180 minutes) and Lindsay Barr (194:50) have split time, with Considine boasting the better goals-against average at 1.00.
OSU HISTORY WITH CAL-SANTA BARBARA: OSU renews its series with UCSB after an 11-year break in play. The last meeting, in 1991, saw the Gauchos walk away with a 2-0 win in Santa Barbara. UCSB also claimed victory in the teams' first-ever meeting in 1989, topping OSU 4-0.
