Trojans Visit Children's Hospital

Sept. 12, 2002

Taking full advantage of a bye week, USC coach Pete Carroll, more than a dozen members of the Trojan football team and the USC Song and Yell Leaders made their annual visit to the County-USC Women's and Children's Hospital on Thursday (Sept. 5).

The Trojans visited sick and injured children on the sixth floor of the hospital. Players signed autographs and posed for pictures, while the Song and Yell Leaders lifted spirits with some lively USC cheers.

Coach Carroll gave a short speech, then was given a present on behalf of the children--a carefully-crafted crayon drawing of the football team playing at the Coliseum.

That drawing is now hanging in coach Carroll's office--a constant reminder to 'Win one for the kids!'
