Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Billmeyer, from Omaha, Neb., helped the Beavers capture the tournament title at their own OSU/Diadora Classic with wins over UC Riverside and then-No. 12/No. 24 Tulsa. Billmeyer recorded eight saves in the 2-0 shutout win over the Highlanders Sept. 13. He posted two saves Sept. 15, as the Beavers defeated the Golden Hurricane 3-0 in the tournament final. Billmeyer garnered OSU/Diadora Classic Most Valuable Player honors for his efforts. The blankings were his second and third on the young season, already surpassing OSU's team total (2) from 2001.
Oregon State (4-1-0) is off to its best start in four seasons. The Beavers travel to Marist College and Siena for matches Sept. 20 and Sept. 22, respectively.
This is the first weekly honor for Billmeyer and the third all-time Player of the Week honor for Oregon State.
