Tony Lawson Selected to Soccer America's Team of the Week

Sept. 17, 2002

UCLA junior defender Tony Lawson (Palmdale, CA/Quartz Hill HS) was selected to Soccer America's Team of the Week for games played Sept. 9-15. Lawson's play in the backline helped the then-fourth-ranked Bruins defeat 11th-ranked San Diego on Sept. 15.

Late in the contest, Lawson cleared a shot off the line by San Diego star Ryan Coiner to help preserve the 3-1 victory.
