Arizona Men's Tennis Takes Three Matches Saturday at Napa Valley Tennis Challenge

NAPA VALLEY, Calif.-The Arizona men's tennis team took three matches Saturday at day two of the Napa Valley Tennis Challenge at Meadowood Resort. The Wildcats won two singles matches and one doubles match.

In singles action, sophomore Paul Warkentin and freshman Daniel Andrus won their matches. Warkentin defeated Patrick Briaud of California, 6-4, 6-2, while Andrus knocked off Evan Zeder of Illinois, 6-2, 7-6 (5). Junior Whi Kim fell to Brian Wilson of Illinois, 6-1, 6-3. Junior Carl Hagman also lost, falling in three sets to Ryler Deheart of Illinois, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. Sophomore Colin O'Grady dropped his match to Kevin Patrick of California, 6-1, 6-4.

The Arizona doubles tandem of Daniel Andrus and Paul Warkentin won their matchup against Jeff King and Kevin Patrick of California, 9-8. Whi Kim and Colin O'Grady lost to the Illinois doubles team of Pramod Dabir and Amer Delic of Illinois, 8-4.

Action concludes Sunday at the Napa Valley Tennis Challenge.
