Bennett, from Kent, Wash., scored one goal and assisted on three others as Washington won its first Husky/Nike Invitational Championship since 1996. Bennett was voted the tournament's Offensive MVP, with a goal and an assist in the 3-1 win over Harvard, and two assists in the 3-0 shutout of UC Irvine. Bennett leads UW (5-2-1 overall, 0-0-0 Pac-10) with 18 points. Cooper, from Albuquerque, N.M., also tallied five points (1 goal, 3 assists) in a pair of shutout victories for Arizona State. The Sun Devils (4-1-2 overall, 0-0-0 Pac-10) blanked San Diego 2-0 and UNLV 3-0 for their second and third straight shutout wins.
