Stanford Emerges On Top Of USA Baseball National Team Player Study

Stanford, Calif. - Stanford has emerged on top of a recent USA Baseball National Team player study announced by the organization, which researched the collegiate affiliation of nearly 350 players that have participated for Team USA from 1984-2002.

Stanford led the nation in each of three categories researched.

The Cardinal has produced 20 Team USA players over the last 19 years. The 20 Stanford players that have participated for Team USA have combined to play 28 seasons. The Cardinal also has had at least one player on Team USA in 17 of the last 19 years and 16 consecutive campaigns.

Miami finished a distant second in all three categories with 13 players combining for 16 seasons. The Hurricanes have had at least one player on Team USA in 12 of the last 19 years.
