Beavers head east for Rocky Mountain Invitational

TEEING OFF: The Beavers play in the Rocky Mountain Invitational Sept. 30-Oct. 1. The tournament is hosted by the University of Denver, and will be played at the par-72, 7067-yard Riverdale Dunes Golf Course in Brighton, Colo. Teams play 36 holes on Monday and 18 Tuesday for a total of 54.
THE FIELD: The field includes Air Force, UC-Riverside, Campbell, Nevada, UNC-Wilmington, Oregon State, Portland, San Diego, Utah, Utah State, UTEP, Weber State, and Wyoming.
OREGON STATE IN THE RANKINGS: OSU climbed to 35th in the Golfweek rankings, its highest ranking since rising to 32nd in the May 30, 2000 Golfweek rankings.
LAST YEAR: OSU did not play in the Rocky Mountain Invitational last year.
LAST ACTION: The Beavers shot a school record 847 en route to a third-place finish at the Pacific Invitational. Daren Greig tied for third with a 9-under 207 and Chance Holmes shot 6-under 210, including a 66 in the final round.
