Pierce Honored By Pac-10, Soccer America

Oct. 2, 2002

UCLA senior forward Tim Pierce (Dana Point, CA/Santa Margarita HS) was honored by both the Pac-10 Conference and Soccer America magazine after scoring his first career hat trick and netting the fifth-fastest goal in NCAA Division I history in the Bruins' 7-0 win over San Diego State Sept. 29.

Pierce was named the Pac-10 Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season and the third time in his career. His Pac-10 award is the 10th all-time for the Bruins and the second this season. Pierce was also selected to the Soccer America Team of the Week for the third time in his career.
