Arizona Wins Doubles Title at Northern Arizona Invitational

SEDONA, Ariz. - On the final day of competition, the Wildcats won three of four matches including the doubles championship at the Northern Arizona Invitational in Sedona, Ariz.
In singles play, junior Carl Hagman defeated Ryan McBride of Arizona State, 6-7, 6-3, 6-0, to advance to the final round. In fourth-draw action, junior Colin O'Grady defeated Luis Avila of New Mexico State, 7-5, 6-4, while freshman Tim Mullane fell to his doubles partner Danilo Zivanovic of New Mexico State, 7-6, 6-2.
The final round of the doubles tournament showcased two Arizona doubles teams. The team of Tim Mullane and NMSU's Danilo Zivanovic topped Carl Hagman and Colin O'Grady, 8-5, to claim the doubles championship.
During the tournament, the Wildcats won 17-of-20 matches.
The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday Oct. 8, when junior Whi Kim is set to compete in the qualifying rounds of the ITA All-American.
