Men's Tennis Opens Fall Season At ITA All-American Championships

SEATTLE, Wash.- Washington men's tennis opens the 2002 fall season at the ITA Men's All-American Championships this week at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Competing in the qualifying draw Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Wednesday, Oct. 9, will be senior Ari Strasberg in singles action and the doubles team of seniors Matt Hanlin and Dillon Ruby. Should they advance, they will compete in the main draw Thursday, Oct. 10, through Sunday, Oct. 13.

Already selected to the main draw rounds are Hanlin and sophomore Alex Vlaski in the singles competition, as well as the doubles team of Strasberg and Vlaski. Vlaski, ranked 15th in the preseason national poll, enters the tournament as the 13th-seeded singles player.
