Men's Basketball Scrimmages Saturday

Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State University men's basketball team will scrimmage Sat., Oct. 26 prior to the football game vs. California. The scrimmage is set to begin at approximately 10:30 a.m. in Gill Coliseum. Admission is free.
Beginning at 10 a.m., individuals will have an opportunity to purchase season tickets during the 'Select-A-Seat' Day. Fans will be able to locate an available seat, signified by a balloon, for the 2002-2003 season. Attached to the balloon will be information regarding the proper donation level that is warranted for that seat. Ticket personnel will be located in the main lobby to receive your ticket purchases or to answer questions. Payment may be made by check, cash, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
Three other ticket packages are available for the season, including the Pac-10 Pack ($125), High-Five Pack ($60), and the Family Fun Zone plan ($35 adults/$25 children).
Ten lettermen, including four starters, return to the team under the guidance of first-year head coach Jay John. The Beavers possess one the best inside duos in the Pac-10 Conference with seniors Philip Ricci and Brian Jackson. Senior Jimmie Haywood returns to the perimeter with exciting players J.S. Nash, Floyd North III, and several newcomers joining the cast.
The Beavers open play with their first exhibition game, Mon., Nov. 4 vs. the Northwest All-Stars at Gill Coliseum. The regular season begins Sat., Nov. 23 vs. the Idaho Vandals in Corvallis.
