Volleyball's Bibiana Candelas Cleared For Competition

LOS ANGELES - USC women's volleyball freshman Bibiana Candelas has been cleared to compete, head coach Mick Haley was informed by the NCAA today. Candelas joined the team on its trip to face Washington and No. 20 Washington State this Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26.
Candelas, a 6-foot-5 middle blocker from Torreï¿½n, Mexico, missed the first two weeks of the season while competing with the Mexican National Team at the World Championships in Dresden, Germany. She arrived on campus on Sept. 9 and began practicing with the team, but was not allowed to compete while the NCAA reviewed her eligibility.
The No. 1-ranked Women of Troy are currently 16-0 overall and 9-0 in the Pac-10.
