Logan Tom Tallies 25 Kills In 3-2 Win Over Oregon State

Stanford, Calif. - Senior outside hitter Logan Tom tallied a match-high 25 kills and 18 digs to lead the sixth-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team to a 3-2 victory over Oregon State tonight in Maples Pavilion. Game scores were 24-30, 30-20, 30-16, 31-33, 15-5.
The Cardinal improve to 19-3, 9-2 in the Pac-10 while the Beavers fall to 7-13, 2-9 in league play.
Stanford hit .364 for the match with a season-high 25.5 blocks. The total blocks is a season-high in the Pac-10 this year besting the previous mark of 20.5 (ASU vs. Cal, 10/11/02).
Junior middle blocker Sara McGee added 18 kills and 10 blocks while hitting .552 on the night. Sophomore outside hitter Ogonna Nnamani notched 16 kills and five blocks for the Cardinal while Ashley Ivy had a season-high 18 digs on the evening. Sophomore defensive specialist Leahi Hall tallied a career-high 12 digs and middle blocker Jennifer Harvey added nine blocks. Setter Anna Robinson chipped in five kills, 50 assists and six blocks as well.
The Beavers were led by Megan McMillan's 19 kills and Nikki Neuburger's 18 digs. Allison Lawrence chipped in 12 kills and 16 digs for OSU.
Stanford hits the road next week and will face UCLA on November 1 at 7 p.m. and No. 1 USC on November 2 at 7 p.m.
