Cougars To Spend Halloween With Their Own Version Of Trick Or Treating
Oct. 28, 2002
PULLMAN, Wash. - Ghosts, goblins and monsters will not be the only thing out in force throughout the city of Pullman this Halloween.
There will also be Cougars walking the streets of Pullman, Thursday night.
Washington State Cougars, that is.
The Cougar women's basketball team will conduct its own version of trick-or-treating this Halloween as players and coaches will go door-to-door to meet the community and hand out schedule cards.
'We need the Pullman community's support and I feel that we should go to them instead of just waiting for them to come to us,' said Head Coach Sherri Murrell. 'This will be a lot of fun introducing ourselves to families and seeing all the kids dressed up.'
The Cougars will plan another night to deliver posters and schedule cards to Pullman-area businesses, as well.
WSU opens its exhibition season, Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. against Lady Express at Friel Court. The regular season home opener is Friday, Nov. 22 against Wyoming, also at Friel Court at 7 p.m.
