OSU Falls To No. 6 UCLA, 4-1
Oregon State fell behind UCLA in the second minute on Sunday and was never able to recover, as the women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to the No. 6 Bruins in Pacific-10 Conference play.
The goal was Monka's seventh of the year, and gives her 17 points, which is second on the team behind Courtney Carter's 19.
Crabtree's assist was the 12th of her career, and moved her into a tie for eighth on OSU's all-time list.
UCLA got a quick score from Lindsay Greco at the 1 minute, 44 second mark after Allie True crossed a ball into scoring position, but the Beavers played the Bruins even for the next 36 minutes.
Greco assisted Crystal James' score on a through-ball that put the Bruins up 2-0 at 37:21, and Stacy Lindstrom and Jill Oakes tacked on goals in the 75th and 77th minutes to ice a game that was still within reach for the Beavers.
For the game, OSU was pressured consistently, as the Bruins compiled a 22-4 advantage in shots and a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Entering Sunday's match, OSU was allowing just 1.16 goals per game; the four goals allowed were the most by an OSU opponent all year.
OSU keeper Jo Fletcher, who led the Pac-10 in saves entering the weekend, added seven on Sunday, and now has 103 for the year. The senior is currently third on OSU's all-time career saves list.
The Beavers wrap up their season this Friday, when they head to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks in the Civil War presented by Northwest Dodge Dealers.
