Logan Tom Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

Walnut Creek, Calif. - Stanford outside hitter Logan Tom has been named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 27-Nov. 2, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Tom, a senior from Salt Lake City, Utah, led No. 6 Stanford to road victories over No. 18 UCLA (3-0) and an upset of No. 1 USC (3-2). She posted a double-double in both matches, and led the Cardinal with 42 kills (5.25 kills per game) and 32 digs (4.00 digs per game) and put together a team-leading 49.5 points for the weekend. Versus UCLA, she posted a match-high 14 kills, 17 digs along with two aces and four blocks. Against the top-ranked Trojans, she put down a match-high 28 kills and a team-high 15 digs as well as a match-leading 30 points.
The Cardinal (21-3, 11-2 in Pac-10) swept the Bruins, and handed the No. 1-ranked Trojans their first loss of the season.
This is the eighth weekly honor for Tom, Stanford's 46th Player of the Week honor all-time. The eight weekly honors ties UCLA's Natalie Williams for the most weekly honors by any conference player.
