Cougars Move Up To Sixth in Regional Rankings

PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State moved up a spot and is tied for sixth in the latest NCAA Division I Volleyball Regional Rankings for the Pacific Region, released Nov. 6.

The biweekly rankings include the top ten teams in each of the eight regions, achieved through a vote of coaches and administrators in each region using team records as of Nov. 3.

The Pacific Region includes the Pacific-10, Big Sky and West Coast Conference member schools.

The final rankings are used by the NCAA Championship Tournament selection committee to choose at-large berths to complete the field of 64 teams, comprised first of 31 conference champions who receive automatic bids. The next rankings will be released Nov. 20.
