Nov. 14, 2002

CORVALLIS, Ore. - -

Oregon State's Alan Gordon has been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week for the week of Nov. 10, it was announced Thursday.

The honor is Gordon's second such selection this year, as he was named to the team on Oct. 6.

The Gilbert, Ariz., native, who was also named Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday, scored three goals, including the game-winner, in a 6-3 win over Washington on Sunday.

Gordon leads the Pac-10 in scoring with 32 points (14 goals, four assists). Gordon's 32 points are nine more than the next highest total in the Pac-10; freshman teammate Joe Zaher is tied for second with 23.

In all, OSU has had players selected to the national team of the week three times this year; goalkeeper Peter Billmeyer was selected for the week of Sept. 15.
