Brooke Thomas Qualifies For NCAA Cross Country Championships

Senior Brooke Thomas finished 14th at the NCAA West Cross Country Regional in Palo Alto, Calif., on Saturday and has advanced to the NCAA Cross Country Championships to be held on Monday, Nov. 25 in Terre Haute, Ind.

Thomas, who was competing as an individual, ran the 5K in 21:54, just six seconds out of the top 10.

She is the second Woman of Troy cross country athlete in as many years to qualify for the NCAA Championships as an individual (Sarah Ellis did it last year).

Thomas, who hails from Laguna Hills, Calif., also runs the 1500m and 3000m steeple for the USC track team.
