El Paso, TX - Washington junior All-American Brock Mackenzie shot even-par 71 during the final round to finish fourth in the 22-man field at the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic at El Paso Country Club.

Mackenzie shot 1-over 214 for the 54-hole event, finishing six strokes behind medalist Adam Rubinson of Texas Christian. The TCU senior shot 2-under 69 on Tuesday to win the tournament by five strokes. Virginia Tech's Brendon De Jonge and Georgia's Ryan Hybl tied for second at 213.

Mackenzie improved four spots on his finish at the event last year when he was eighth. Mackenzie has completed his fall collegiate events but will now travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for a practice session for the 2003 Walker Cup Match. He will be one of 23 amateur players at the event that takes place Nov. 29-Dec. 1 at Berkeley Hall Club. The United States Walker Cup team will face the team from Great Britain and Ireland at the Ganton Golf Club in North Yorkshire, England, from Sept. 6-7.
