Men's Tennis Inks Third Student-Athlete In Early Signing Period

Nov. 26, 2002

SEATTLE, Wash. - Washington men's tennis signed its third high school senior to a national letter of intent, head coach Matt Anger announced Tuesday. Mike Ricks (Orinda, Calif.) will join the Huskies in the fall of 2003.

Ricks comes to Seattle from Miramonte High School in Orinda, Calif. and is the 97th-ranked singles player in the United States. Ricks chose Washington over Pepperdine, North Carolina, Duke and Dartmouth.

'Mike is a very determined player and is determined to come in and do well for us,' Anger said. 'I can't wait for his career to get started here at Washington.'
