Women's Basketball to Take on UW-Green Bay Tuesday Before Trip to 'Paradise'
Nov. 26, 2002
The Ducks (1-0) hit the road for the first time this year, taking on Wisconsin-Green Bay (1-1) on Tuesday at 5 p.m. PST. It marks the first time the Ducks have played a game in Wisconsin in program history. Oregon then is off to 'paradise,' competing in the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Ducks first take on South Carolina (2-0) on Thanksgiving Day and then 18th-ranked Boston College (1-0) on Friday. Both games tip off at 4:30 p.m. PST. All three teams on Oregon's schedule this week participated in the NCAA Tournament last season.
All Oregon women's basketball games are broadcast by KSCR (1320 AM) in Eugene and KUIK (1360 AM) in Portland, with Ray Martin providing the play-by-play for the eighth consecutive year. Games that don't conflict with Oregon men's basketball broadcasts will be carried by KUGN (590 AM) in Eugene, KXL (750 AM) in Portland and KTBR (950 AM) in Roseburg. Radio broadcasts also can be heard on www.GoDucks.com.
Oregon's games in the Virgin Islands will mark the first time the Ducks have played outside the continental U.S. since December 1997, when they played in the Kona Classic in Hawai`i.
