OSU Winter Baseball Camps On Deck

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State will hold its annual Winter Baseball Camps in December in the Truax Indoor Center on the OSU campus. There will be three sessions: An all-skills camp on Dec. 21-22; a hitting camp on Dec. 27; and a pitching and catching camp on Dec. 28. All three are for players age 8-18.
All three camps feature instruction from OSU head coach Pat Casey and the Beaver coaching staff, plus other outstanding college and high school coaches. Correct techniques and fundamentals will be taught through drills and both individual and small-group instruction.
The all-skills camp will run from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on Dec. 21-22. It will include instruction in hitting, fielding, throwing, baserunning, pitching and catching. Check-in will be at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 21 at the Truax Indoor Center, and tuition for the camp is $60. Campers should bring their own glove, cap, batting gloves and sneakers; catchers should bring their own gear, if possible.
The hitting camp will run from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Dec. 27. It will cover swing mechanics, count hitting, situational hitting and bunting techniques. Check-in will be at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 27 at the Truax Indoor Center, and tuition for the camp is $75. Campers should bring their own batting glove, cap, and bat, if possible.
The pitching and catching camp will run from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Dec. 28. It will cover all aspects of pitching and catching, with campers learning the techniques, drills and conditioning they need to develop their skills once they leave camp. Check-in will be at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 28 at the Truax Indoor Center, and tuition for the camp is $75. Campers should bring their own gloves, hat and tennis shoes; catchers should bring their own gear, if possible.
