Ducks Lose To No. 18 Eagles At Paradise Jam Tournament

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) - Jessalyn Deveny had 25 pointsand eight rebounds to lead No. 18 Boston College over Oregon 64-47 Friday nightin the Paradise Jam.

The game was close for the first seven minutes. Then the Eagles (3-0) wenton a 16-7 run for the next six minutes of the half to take a 26-17 lead.

The Lady Ducks (1-3) closed the half with a 9-4 run of their own to cut thedeficit to 30-26 at the half. Oregon got within three points at 35-32 with15:41 left in the game, but the Eagles went on a 9-0 run in the next three andhalf minutes to take a 44-32.

The Eagles outrebounded the Lady Ducks 23-11 in the half and 40-23 for thegame.

Becky Gottstein had 11 points for Boston College.

Catherine Kraayeveld had 12 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lady Ducks.Shaquala Williams had 11 points for the Lady Ducks.
