Wildcat Women Cruise Past UC Riverside

TUCSON, Ariz. - Dee-Dee Wheeler scored a career-high 28 points and madefive 3-pointers in the second half as No. 21 Arizona beat California-Riverside95-66 Saturday night.
The Wildcats (3-1) were 10-of-28 from 3-point range, with Wheeler gettingsix of them on eight attempts.
LaKeima Stephens led Riverside (0-4) with 17 points, and Crystal Harris andTrecha Kennedy had 13 points apiece.
Arizona, ranked for the first time since February 2001, built an 22-5 leadeight minutes into the game before settling for a 46-35 halftime edge.
Riverside scored the first four points of the second half before Arizona hitfive 3-pointers - three by Wheeler - and the Wildcats went on to build an 82-60lead.
The previous career highs for Wheeler, a sophomore, were 21 points and four3-pointers.
