Join The Trojans In Miami As They Face Iowa In The Orange Bowl!
Dec. 9, 2002
When I became head football coach two years ago, my goal was to restore USC's championship tradition. Our players have responded by playing the best football in the country, and now we are headed for the Orange Bowl as Pac-10 co-champions, with a seven-game winning streak that includes back-to-back victories over UCLA and Notre Dame.
But, while we celebrate what has been a tremendous season, we are also looking forward to a great future. We want to play in a BCS bowl every year, and, to help us do that, we need your help now. When choosing among outstanding bowl candidates each season, BCS bowls not only look at rankings, they look at teams that 'travel well.' In other words, they are determined to select universities that will bring in excess of 20,000 fans.
And, so, as our team has responded to the challenge of the nation's most difficult schedule this year, I am issuing a challenge to each of you. Join us in Miami as we play Iowa in USC's first appearance ever in the Orange Bowl. Root us on to victory, and prove to each of the BCS bowls that not only USC's team, but USC's fans will be a prize catch in the future.
Think of it. Beautiful Miami on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and USC football on January 2. What could be better?
To help you make the trip to the Orange Bowl, we have set up travel packages to the game. For information on these all-inclusive packages, including game tickets, please go to our website, www.usctrojans.com, and click on 'Orange Bowl Travel.' Or, phone Kim Tours at 1-800-237-4546.
