Gardner Named Pac-10 Basketball Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - ARIZONA senior guard Jason Gardner has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for December 9 - December 15, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Gardner, from Indianapolis, Ind., led Arizona to a 73-70 win over No. 8 Texas with 13 points, a career-high eight rebounds and seven assists. He scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half, including six in the final two minutes. The seven assists were a season high and came with only one turnover in 37 minutes on the floor.

It is the second weekly award for Gardner, the 56th all-time honor for the Wildcats.
