Will Bynum Decides to Transfer

TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona men's basketball player Will Bynum has decided to leave the team.
Bynum a 5-foot-11, 193-pound guard from Chicago, Ill, asked for and was given his release on Monday. He will be free to transfer to a school of his choosing.
He averaged 7.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in eight games this season (two starts), while shooting 35.6 percent from the field and 35.1 percent from three-point range. In 39 career games (11 starts) at Arizona, Bynum averaged 6.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He shot 34.6 percent from the field and 28.1 percent from three-point range.
Arizona returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 9, as the squad hosts Washington State. Tip-off in McKale Center is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. MST. The game will be televised live nationally by Fox Sports Net.
