Jan. 25, 2003
LOS ANGELES -- The private dedication of the USC Baseball Hall of Fame took place today at Dedeaux Field, completing the $4 million renovation project for the Trojans' facility. The small group of donors, who comprised the majority of the funds raised, were treated to the first look of the Hall of Fame as well as a private tour of the new locker room.
The USC Baseball Hall of Fame features the Trojans' 12 national championship trophies, along with the jerseys from some of the 89 former players who have played in the major leagues. A special section is dedicated to 2001 National Player of the Year Mark Prior and houses items such as the Golden Spikes Award, Louisville Slugger Award and Dick Howser Award.
The facility will be open to the public during all home games with the first opportunity taking place at the Alumni Game on Saturday (Feb. 1) at 1 p.m.
