Tickets may be purchased at the Athletic Ticket Office in the Casanova Athletic Center or by calling (541) 346-4461 or 1-800-WEBFOOT.
For the first time in the 22-year history of the women's basketball tournament, all sites in the field have been predetermined in advance, with the Ducks chosen as one of 16 first and second round hosts based on the tremendous support demonstrated for women's basketball in the Eugene-Springfield area. If Oregon is chosen to the tournament field for the ninth time in 10 years, it is guaranteed to play at home. However, the Ducks will host the four-team draw regardless of whether they have have been selected to take part in the 64-team field.
The winner of the two games will advance to one of four regional sites March 30 in Dayton, Ohio, Knoxville, Tenn., Albuqerque, N.M. or Stanford, Calif.
In the past, only regional sites and the location of the Final Four were predetermined in advance while first and second-round sites were not awarded until the tournament participants were selected one week prior to the beginning of play. That resulted in one of the tournament participants almost always assured of hosting one of the 32 first-round games and retaining what was perceived as an unfair home-court advantage.
Oregon currently leads the Pacific-10 Conference in attendance (4,338 avg.) for the fifth consecutive year and ranks 18th in the country.
It will mark the fifth time the Ducks have hosted a game in the NCAA women's basketball tournament.
