Rollover Clause Added To Bellotti's Exisiting Contract
Feb. 3, 2003
EUGENE -- University of Oregon football coach Mike Bellotti has agreed in principal to the addition of a rollover clause to his existing contract that will continue to provide stability in the Oregon football program, according to the school's Director of Athletics Bill Moos.
The contract addendum will supplement Bellotti's existing seven-year pact agreed upon prior to the 2001 season that was to have carried through the 2007 season, and will continue to provide him with five years remaining on his contract at the mutual consent of both the university and its head coach.
'I'm excited and pleased with the level of commitment the University of Oregon has demonstrated to my program and want to stress that this commitment runs both ways,' Bellotti emphasized.
The 52-year-old head coach recently completed his eighth season at the Oregon helm and continues to position the Ducks as the winningest football program in the Pacific-10 Conference during his tenure.
