Women's Golf In Fourth After First Round Of Northrop Grunman Regional Challenge

Palos Verdes, Calif. - Freshman Tanya Dergal shot a 72 to lead a team round of 296 by the USC women's golf team, who stand in fourth place after the first day of the Northrop Grunman Regional Challenge held at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.

Pepperdine is in first after shooting 284, followed by UCLA (292), Oklahoma State (294) and then USC.

Individually, Charlotte Mayorkas of UCLA is in first after shooting 68.

For USC, Dergal is tied for eighth, while another freshman, Irene Cho, is tied for 14th (74) along with senior Becky Lucidi. Senior Mikaela Parmlid is tied for 28th (76), while junior Anna Rawson is tied for 39th (77).

The second round continues at 9 a.m. Tuesday, while the final round is scheduled with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
