Feb. 15, 2003
Round Rock, TX - Southwest Texas State's Marc Cole hit a RBI single to left field off of Cal freshman reliever Adam Gold in the bottom of the 13th inning to lead the Bobcats to a 6-5 victory over the Bears Saturday at the Express College Classic in Round Rock, Texas. In the bottom of the 13th, Swick gave up a two-out single to Jacob Spencer and then walked Corvert, before Gold came in and gave up the game-winning hit to Cole.

Brian Horwitz, Chris Grossman and Justin Nelson added two hits apiece for the Bears. Nelson had hit a solo home run in the second inning to put Cal on the scoreboard first.
