CORVALLIS - Oregon State's football recruiting for the 2003 season was completed Saturday as it received a letter of intent from Patrick Wu, an offensive lineman from Plano, Texas.

The addition of Wu gives the Beavers a total of 23 athletes to sign letter of intents. The total includes 22 freshmen and one junior college transfer. The list includes athletes from nine states. The latest signee:

PATRICK WU, OL, 6-3, 310, FR, Plano, TX (Plano High School)
Patrick played for Coach Gerald Brence at Plano High School and earned three letters and was a two-year starter on the offensive line...he was a first-team all-district selection (District 11) among 5A schools (the largest category in Texas) as a senior...also selected as a first-team All-Academic selection among Texas high school football players as a senior...runs the 40 in 5.34...Coach Brence said, 'Patrick is a tremendous person. He is very quick and agile for a player his size. He has a great upside. The people at Oregon State will really like him as a person. He is a tremendous young man.'
