UCLA - Oregon Game Moved to 2 p.m. Saturday
Feb. 25, 2003
This Saturday's (March 1) women's basketball game between UCLA and Oregon has been moved to 2 p.m. to accommodate a television broadcast by Fox Sports Net. The game was selected as the Pac-10 Conference game of the week and will be aired nationally.
This Saturday's game with Oregon is also the last home appearance for Michelle Greco and her fellow senior women's basketball players. Greco, a National Player of the Year candidate and the leading scorer in the Pac-10 conference, will be playing her last game in Pauley Pavilion along with seniors Natalie Nakase, Natalie Jarrett, Jalina Bradley and Melissa Maurin. A brief ceremony honoring the Bruin senior class will be held prior to the 2 p.m. start of the UCLA - Oregon game.
The UCLA - Oregon game will also be the place to be for a very special event to help raise money for the Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA. If 5,000 or more fans attend this game, UCLA head coach Kathy Olivier will donate $1,000 to the Hospital.
