TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona baseball team bounced back from its ninth inning loss to Texas A&M on Saturday with a resounding 17-1 win over the No. 24 Aggies in the series finale at Frank Sancet Field on Sunday. The victory gave Arizona a two games to one win in the season series and improved its record 11-5 for the year. Texas A&M slipped to 10-4 with the loss.

The Arizona offense rapped out 16 hits in the game, and was aided by six Aggie errors. The Wildcats erased a 1-0 A&M lead after the first half inning with two in the bottom of the first before erupting for five runs in the third, one in the fourth and six in the fifth to blow the game open.

Freshman Nick Hundley hit a bases loaded double in the bottom of the third to lead the charge. The first-year catcher finished the game 2 for 4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Classmate Brad Boyer led all players offensively with a 4 for 6, three run day at the plate. All nine Arizona starters tallied at least one hit and scored at least one run in the game.

Sophomore Pat Reilly and junior Brian Anderson extended their hitting streaks to 21- and 15-straight games in the contest. Reilly finished 3 for 5 with an RBI and three runs scored, while Anderson came through in his final at-bat of the game with a solo home run to right center for his only hit on the day.

Redshirt freshman Kevin Guyette (1-0) picked up the win in his first start as a Wildcat. The right-hander surrendered just one run on eight hits in 6 2/3 innings of work. He struck out two and walked one for his first win of the season.

Freshman Chris Frey and senior Wes Zlotoff finished things off with a combined 2 1/3 innings of hitless relief.

A&M's Kyle Parcus (0-2) was hit for his second loss of the year after giving up seven runs on five hits in just three innings of work.

The Wildcats will take to the road with a trip to Austin, Texas, next weekend for a three-game series against defending national champion Texas.
