Cal Stands in 2nd Place After Two Rounds at Cleveland Classic

The California men's golf team stands in second place after two rounds at the 17-team Cleveland Golf Classic. The Golden Bears fired rounds of 286 and 287 for a five-over par 566 total, seven strokes behind team leader UCLA (566). The two-day tournament is being contested at the par-71 North Ranch Country Club, a 6,815-yard facility.

Junior Peter Tomasulo leads the Bears, currently tied for ninth place (70-72=142), just four strokes behind individual leader Roy Moon of UCLA (71-67=138).

Freshmen Eric West (69-75) and Michael Wilson (73-71) are tied for 18th at a two round total of 144. Just two strokes behind is Jesse Ruda (74-72=146) tied for 28th place and another two strokes behind is Jeff Hood, carding rounds of 76-72=148.

The third and final round begins tomorrow, Tuesday, Mar. 4 at 7:30 a.m. off the first and 10th tees.
