Men's Golf Finishes Seventh at Toyota Men's Collegiate Golf Championship

LAS VEGAS - The University of Arizona men's golf team shot a final round 295 (+7) to finish in seventh place Sunday at the Toyota Men's Golf Collegiate Championship.
Arizona, who entered the final round in fourth place, posted its worst round of the tournament and slipped to seventh place in the 15-team field with an 868 (+4) total. No Arizona golfer broke par in Sunday's final round. Oklahoma State won the event with an eight-under-par 856 total. Host UNLV (857), Texas (858), Clemson (858) and North Carolina State (861) rounded out the top five places.
Individually, Arizona was led by junior Chris Nallen, who finished tied for 14th place at 213 (-3). It was his seventh top-20 finish of the season. He was the only Wildcat to finish in the top 30. Teammate Ricky Barnes carded a final-round 75 to finish tied for 34th place at 220 (+4).
Also competing for the Wildcats was senior Reid Hatley, who finished tied for 42nd place at 222 (+6), senior Andrew Medley, who finished tied for 51st place at 223 (+7), and freshman Blaine Peffley, who finished tied for 67th place at 229 (+13).
The University of Arizona will next be in action March 24-25 at the Oregon Duck Invitational in Eugene, Ore.
