OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Coming off of two conference titles at the Pac-10 Diving Championships two weeks ago, Sun Devil freshman men's diver Joona Puhakka shows no signs of slowing down. Puhakka dominated the field this afternoon on the 1-meter springboard at the Zone E Diving Championships, tallying a total of 709.25 for the win at the Oklahoma City Community College Pool.

Fellow Sun Devil Thomas McCrummen scored a 564.15 to finish ninth. McCrummen finished second at the Pac-10s in the 1-meter two weeks ago.

On the women's side, only the 3-meter springboard trials results were available, where both Trisha Tumlinson and Jessica Stenson made the final round cut for the Sun Devils. After the prelims, Tumlinson stood in sixth with 474.70 points while Stenson was in eighth with 442.10 points.

The top three divers from Zone E advance to their respective NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships later this month. The women's meet is March 20-22 in Auburn, Ala., while the men's meet is March 27-29 in Austin, Texas. Action at the Zone E Meet goes through Saturday.
