Sophomore Erin Goodell Named Pac-10 Softball Player Of The Week

EUGENE - Oregon sophomore second baseman Erin Goodell (Roseburg) has been named Pac-10 Player of the Week for Mar. 10-16, Commisioner Tom Hansen announced today. It is the first such honor for Goodell and the second for an Oregon player this season.
Goodell was 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI and three runs in the Ducks' 10-2 victory over then-No. 17 Oregon State. Led by Goodell, Oregon, matched a season-high 13 hits and won its conference opener for the first time since 1998. It was also the Ducks' first win over Oregon State since 1999.
Goodell now has a team-high nine RBI and is one of three players with two home runs.
After the win, Oregon moved from 22nd to No. 20 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll. The Ducks travel to Fort Collins, Colo., to play a doubleheader versus Colorado State Sunday before playing a single game Monday.- www.GoDucks.com -
