Men's Tennis Defeat the Trojans of USC, 4-3

Tempe, AZ- In what proved to be a tense emotional match for both teams, the dual between the 10-6 Trojans of USC and the 6-8 Sun Devils of Arizona State ended in a hard-earned victory for the Devils.

The victory gives the Devils an undefeated 2-0 record in Pac-10 play, as USC slips to 0-2 for Pac-10 duals.

The match began well for the Devils as they secured the doubles point, with Chris Stewart and Chris Letcher defeating Prakash Amritraj and Jeff Kazarian 8-5, while USC's Parker Collins and Daniel Langre fell to ASU's Pim Van Mele and Ryan McBride in a gritty 9-8(4) match.

In singles USC fought back with three victories, as the deciding point came down to the match between ASU's Olivier Charroin and USC's Parker Collins.

Though both played well, ASU's Charroin was able to come from being down one set to stealing the victory 4-6, 7-6(7), 6-2.

Up next, the Sun Devils will attempt to keep their undefeated Pac-10 record as they take on No. 4 UCLA (14-1, 1-0 Pac-10) on Saturday March 29, at 12 p.m. in ASU's Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe.
