Jeff Ryan, Julianna Tudja Highlight Track And Field Action At Stanford Invitational

Stanford, Calif. - Senior pole vaulter Jeff Ryan vaulted a personal-best 17-8 1/2 and senior Julianna Tudja threw an outstanding 209-1 in the hammer to highlight USC's participation at the Stanford Invitational held at Cobb Track and Field this past weekend.
Ryan's effort led him to a win in the pole vault 'B' section and put him into seventh on the all time USC pole vault list. It's also an NCAA regional qualifying mark.
It was the second consecutive week over 208 feet for Tudja, who is the USC record holder at 210-11. Tudja's mark won the 'elite' section of the women's hammer.
Junior L'Orangerie Crawford had another strong day, finishing second to Tudja in the hammer with a throw of 207-6 and taking fourth in the shot with a personal-best 54-6 3/4.
Other top performances for USC included a win for senior Dawid Jaworski in the high jump (7-1 1/2), a second-place showing by Natasha Mayers in the 100m (11.27w), a win for junior Miya Edmonson in the 200m (24.45), a win for senior Nakiya Johnson in the 400m (54.03), a win by senior Ryan Wilson in the 110m HH (13.81), a PR for sophomore Kenneth Thomas in the 400m IH (52.85) and a win for sophomore Allen Simms in the long jump (25-4 1/2).
USC is next in action at the CS Northridge Invitational this coming weekend.
