Cal Heads To Utah For NCAA Regionals

Berkeley, Calif. - The NCAA announced the pairings for the upcoming NCAA Gymnastics Regionals, which will take place at six sites. The 18th-ranked California women's gymnastics team was placed in the North Central Region, hosted by the University of Utah on April 12 at 6:00 p.m.
The Bears are coming off a seventh place finish at last weekend's Pac-10 Championships and hold a 12-5 overall mark. The top two teams from the regional competition automatically advance to the NCAA Championships, April 24-26, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Cal is paired with five other top-25 teams, marking the only region in the nation where all six schools are ranked. Stanford leads the away with a No. 6 ranking, followed by No. 8 Utah, No. 18 Cal, No. 20 BYU, No. 21 Denver and No. 23 Minnesota.
