Sun Devil Football Camp Slated For First Week Of June

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The 2003 Arizona State University Sun Devil Football Camp will be held at the Bill Kajikawa Practice Facility June 1-4 with head coach Dirk Koetter and staff. The first day of activities features a kicking camp for 2003-04 high school seniors, while the 2nd-4th is an instructional camp for athletes who will be in grades 5-12 in the fall.
The session on Sunday, June 1, begins at 7:45 a.m. and focuses on developing reaction, speed, quickness and advanced football concepts. The morning will feature agility and speed training followed by individual drills. The kicking camp portion for snappers, punters and place kickers begins at 2 p.m. The fee is $25 per camper for this specialized, one-day camp.
The instructional camp that runs from Monday, June 2 through Wednesday, June 4 is aimed at developing fundamental football skills for all levels of football players. Each day begins at 7:45 a.m. and goes until noon. Lectures and demonstrations in proper weight training and flexibility are included every day. The cost to enroll before May 27 is $75 per participant and $100 after that date. When applications for groups of five or more are submitted simultaneously, the cost is $65 per camper.
Athletes are more than welcome to participate in both camps during the week. The cost to participate Sunday through Wednesday is $100 before May 27 and $125 if registration is submitted after that date. Groups of five or more that attend both camps and submit their enrollment simultaneously participate for $90 per camper.
Observers of the camp who wish to park on campus need to purchase a parking pass. An additional $10 fee with the application will cover the cost of parking.
