Ducks Finish First Round in Tempe at 15th

TEMPE, Ariz. - Oregon shot a 313 Friday in the first round of the Ping/ASU Invitational, played at the 6,183-yard, par-72 Karsten Golf Course. The Ducks finished the day in 15th place at 23-over par.

Junior Lacy Erickson closed Friday's round at three-over par (75) and enters the second round Saturday tied for 35th. Two strokes behind her is freshman Therese Wenslow (77), tied for 52nd.

UCLA leads the Invitational at six-under par, setting a school record team score of 282. The Bruins' Charlotte Mayorkas sits in the number one position, also at six-under par (66).

The Ducks are currently seven strokes ahead of Northern Arizona (320) and sit 11 strokes out of the top-10.

Oregon will compete in the second round of the Ping/ASU Invitational Saturday.
