Men's Tennis Sweeps Weekend Matches With Back to Back Wins Against No. 11 Washington and Oregon

Tempe, AZ- The Arizona State Men's Tennis Team fattened their records again on Saturday afternoon with a 4-3 win over the University of Oregon.

The win brings the Devils to 8-9 for the season and 4-1 in conference play, while the Ducks fall to 8-8 for the year and 0-3 in the conference.

The match started well for the Devils as they took the doubles point with Chris Stewart and Chris Letcher defeating No. 42-ranked duo of Sven Swinnen and Oded Teig 8-5 while fellow Devils Ryan McBride and Pim Van Mele beat Jason Menke and Arron Spencer 8-4.

While the Ducks tried to fight back in Singles, they were unable to make a comeback as Chris Letcher, Olivier Charroin and Ryan McBride all won their singles matches, in what proved to be a quick round of singles as only one match advanced to three sets.

Up next the Devils will travel north to take on the No. 7 Stanford Cardinal(15-2) and the No. 4 California Golden Bears (15-2) on April 11 and 12, both matches will count towards conference standings.
